Morticia is one of my favorite heart dogs. She has that special connection like her momma Cassandra and her grandma Kikimora. Something about them just reaches in and touches my soul! Total best friend material!!! Morticia isn’t as interested in meeting new people, she doesn’t seek out interaction with strangers, but she is heart and soul with her family! Very deeply bonded. She has a lot of fun with her doggy friends, but is otherwise a very calm girl. She is very gentle and sensitive to my feedback. Some dogs are a bit pushy and don’t care about correction, but Morticia is very sensitive to my mood and body language. She is not pushy at all. She seeks feedback from me and follows my lead. If I need space, she does. If I call her to my lap or chest, she’s on me with all her weight, curled up, and doesn’t move until I do. She is one of those that quietly comes up and naturally finds her place in my arms. She fits herself right against my chest, between my body and my phone, without blocking my view of my screen, but nuzzled in with all the cuddle pressure! When we go out in public, she follows right at my side. She is completely focused on me and following my lead. She isn’t distracted or excited by the other people, dogs, or commotion in the store. She acts as her sole focus is to be at my side. I haven’t trained her for service work, but in my opinion she would excell as a service dog, as her Grandma Kikimora does for me! Actually, Kikimora is a little more people social which is less suitable for true service dog work. Morticia is completely owner/handler focused which is ideal for a service dog. I bet if I put the time in for training she would be even better than her granny at my side. Regardless, I love her a lot and expect her puppies will be most excellent for someone wanting a quiet natured companion to spend their days with. Morticia’s puppies would probably bet a better fit for our senior (older) families than the more wild girls like Toots, Tigress, and Ducky.

Morticia’s mom is Cassandra. Her dad is Bounty. Her grandma is Kikimora. Grandpa is Morpheus. They are all OFA CHIC Health Tested! We are so proud to raise multi generations of OFA CHIC Health Tested & AKC Registered Shih Tzu!

Morticia started out a dark black color but has faded to a gorgeous mix of black and silver!
